Mouth Watering Hot Chocolate Receipe

Christmas may be over but Winter certainly isn't, this means we can still indulge in delicious, mouth-watering hot chocolates! In my opinion, I can make some smashing hot chocolates. (as I show on my twitter quite a lot, P.S. follow me, its idkitsdanielle)

Ingredients and Equipment

I have never used precise measurements when making Hot Chocolates, but use your desired amount of milk and water! I personally use 3 rough teaspoons of Hot Chocolate Powder and 2 rough teaspoons of Caramel Syrup. Howver it is up to you to experiment and see which combinaton works best for you!

  • Hot Chocolate Powder
  • Water (Is not pictured)
  • Milk
  • Syrup (My personal favourite is Caramel!)
  • Whipped Cream
  • Mug
  • Kettle (Is not pictured)
  • Teaspoon
  • Whisk
TOP TIP!
Using a whisk helps the Hot Chocolate Powder dissolve quicker, distributes the flavour more evenly and avoids lumps in the drink!
Method

1. First of all, boil the water in the kettle.
2. While the kettle is boiling, add the 3 teaspoons hot chocolate powder into the mug.
3. Once the water has boiled, pour your desired amount of water into the mug.
4. Using a whisk, stir all of the mixture together until the hot chocolate powder has dissolved.
5. Pour your desired amount of milk into the mug and whisk, to mix it all in.
6. Repeat step 5 but with your choice of syrup (My favourite is caramel. YUM!)
7. Squirt whipped cream onto the drink.
8. To add a finishing touch (and to make the hot chocolate look instagram worthy) grab a pinch of hot chocolate powder and sprinkle it along the top of the hot chocolate!

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoy making these hot chocolates, please tag me in your photos on Instagram and tweet my on pic on Twitter!
